Process

Five stages. Each one ends with something concrete you can review.

  1. Understand

The process, who uses it, which systems it touches and what happens when it fails. We talk to the people who do the work, not only to those who commission it.

Result: A well-framed problem and the metric that will tell us whether we solved it.

  2. Decide

The simplest solution that solves the problem and can evolve. We write down every architecture decision with the alternatives we ruled out and why.

Result: Scope, architecture and a delivery plan you can discuss line by line.

  3. Build

Short cycles with working software at the end of each one. Automated tests, code review and continuous delivery from the first cycle.

Result: A usable version every one or two weeks, in an environment you can try.

  4. Run

Going live is the beginning. Metrics, logs, alerts and a clear plan for when something fails.

Result: A system you can see into, with clear owners and procedures.

  5. Evolve

Real usage brings real data. We adjust and extend based on what the system and its users show us.

Result: A roadmap based on evidence, not on day-one assumptions.

Ways to work together

We don't sell developer hours. We add engineering capacity and technical judgement, in the format your situation needs.

  • Full product team

We take care of it end to end: definition, technical design, building and running.

A good fit when: New products, or systems your company has no way to build today.

  • Alongside your team

We add engineers and technical judgement to an existing team, with its tools and rituals or suggesting better ones.

A good fit when: Teams that need capacity or experience in a specific area.

  • Focused project

One goal with a defined scope and deadline: an integration, a migration, a critical feature.

A good fit when: When the problem is clear and needs to be solved well, once.

  • Specific technical problem

Diagnosis and fix for something specific: performance, architecture, security or infrastructure costs.

A good fit when: When something isn't working and nobody has time to dig into it.

Engineering standards

What we never compromise on, in any kind of project.

  • Decisions in writing

Every important decision is written down, with its reasons. Your system doesn't depend on anyone's memory, or on someone staying on the team.

  • Nothing ships without tests

Every change is tested and reviewed before it goes out. If something fails once, we leave a test so it never happens again.

  • Secure by design

Encrypted data, minimal access and every client in its own space, from the first version. Not as a patch at the end.

  • Visible before the first user

We find out something is wrong before your users do. Alerts are set up with the system, not after the first incident.

  • Repeatable, reversible releases

Shipping an improvement is routine, not an event. And if something goes wrong, rolling back takes minutes.

  • Documentation people use

Clear guides to run and change the system, written for whoever comes next. Our products' documentation is public at docs.nesolva.com.

Technology

We choose technology for the problem and for whoever will maintain it. These are the foundations we work with most: proven, well known and easy to maintain.
